Family has been a very important part of my life. My mom went to law school when I was five years old. My brother was four. She didn’t quite make it because of other reasons. But she decided to go back to law school when I was 15. That’s the type of woman she is. She’s persevering.

I consider my brother my best friend. We’ve gone through a whole lot together. We went to undergrad and graduated with almost the same exact GPA, within decimal points in the same major. And we also went to law school together. He’s been there through all of the challenges that our family has had in our life. And he is a very important part of my life.

I think it’s important for people to know that I was a person before I was a lawyer and continue to be a person with interests, aside from the law. My brother and I have worked together on various things. Almost every segment of my life, my brothers and I have found a way to make it work.
